Stylish eco beach house with 3 bedrooms and a hot tub, just behind Croyde's lovely sand dunes
Space & setting.
Immerse yourselves in the beauty of North Devon’s stunning coastline at this beautiful beach house in Croyde. Recently restored with pretty pastels and mid-century flourishes, the vibe is contemporary and cosy at the same time. Three double/twin bedrooms make it ideal for a family or group of friends, and thanks to an open-plan living area and a garden, there’s plenty of space to spread out. You’ll soothe surf-sore muscles in the outdoor hot tub, enjoy sociable meals around the table then gather for film nights by the fire.
Brilliantly placed with Croyde Bay in front of the dunes and Saunton Sands around the headland, it’s the ideal place to try surfing for the first time – both beaches are beginner-friendly with board hire and surf schools. Or it’s a short drive to Woolacombe’s sheltered bays for relaxed rock-pooling and paddling if you’re bringing little ones You’re also perfectly placed to walk along the coast path to Baggy Point for dramatic Atlantic views and join the Tarka Trail for traffic-free cycling. And although the kitchen is both beautiful and well equipped, take a few nights off and dive into the local foodie scene: there’s everything from laid-back beach shacks to seasonal fine dining, then you can wander home listening to the sound of waves.

Surrounds.
- Surfing: you’re right on one of Devon’s best surfing beaches. Croyde Bay is our go-to for beginners who want to attempt the waves – you can book lessons or hire boards locally. Or just bring body boards for an easier rush!
- Croyde village is a 5-minute walk. Grab a post-swim refuel at Downend Beach Cafe just along the beach path from the house, or head to Blue Groove café for a laid-back lunch. In the evening, New Coast Kitchen is excellent for fine dining,
- Walk around the headland to National Trust’s Baggy Point, where you can brave coasteering or just enjoy the views.
- Bring bikes to cycle a stretch of the 180-mile, traffic-free Tarka Trail to Instow. Or follow the path in the opposite direction, behind Putsborough beach to Woolacombe, stopping off at The Porthole for great coffee and cake.
- For hands-down the best fish and chips in the area, visit Squires in Braunton. From there, it’s just a 10-minute drive back to Saunton Sands if you want to eat them from the paper, accompanied by a sea breeze.
- Secluded Barricane Beach, with its tidal rock pools and cowrie-lined shore, is the most romantic place to watch the sunset. Take picnic blankets and make this your early evening dinner spot, with a take-out curry from the little beach café (served 5-7pm).
