Gorgeous shepherd's hut with outdoor bath, sea views and walks a-plenty on the stunning Llŷn Peninsula; 1 hour from Snowdonia (sleeps 2)
Space & setting.
*Brand new*
There’s something about a wide open sky and a watery horizon that instantly clears the mind. Maybe it’s the peace-inducing blend of blues, or the sheer expansiveness? It’s something you can ponder as you soak in the outdoor bath at this truly special shepherd’s hut, set in a secluded meadow in rural Rhiw, with panoramic views of sea and mountains. It was these vast vistas that first captured the hearts of owners Gabriella and Tom when they came here, inspiring them to create a space that’s a true panacea for the daily grind.
Begin your days with coffee in bed, the windows flung open to the sea breeze, or with sun salutations out on the deck as the sun rises over Eryri. Then it’s time for adventure. Hike up Mynydd Rhiw for incredible 360° views of the Llyn Peninsula; take a bracing plunge at Porth Neigwl beach, sea kayak from the beach at Abersoch, and walk past wild ponies along the famous Welsh Coastal path. Return to deep comfort and dark skies; as you collapse into the Adirondack rocking chairs by your firepit for a glass of wine, you’ll have the satisfied exhaustion of a day spent brilliantly, in the freshest of air.

FAQs.
Yes absolutely – but they must be kept off the bed, and on a lead outside in the field due to there being abundant local livestock. There is an additional cost of £25/stay
No – you’ll be kept nice and warm by underfloor heating. There’s also a heated towel rail, and cosy luxury bedlinen.
Approx 30m from the back of the cottage, nestled in a corner of a field and angled for privacy. There are no doors at the back of the cottage, only a few small windows. Inside the hut, all windows and the front door face out to breathtaking views, with a secluded dining area to the side. While the studio is in the same field as the hut, it’s positioned next to the cottage and parking area. You may occasionally see the owners come and go but they strive to give guests maximum privacy.
The nearest shop and pub are a 10-minute drive / 20-minute cycle, in the village of Aberdaron. The owners recommend doing a food shop at the Spar in Pwllheli on your way through, or ordering one of their local produce hampers in advance of your stay.
A local company called Discover Llyn rent out bikes and ebikes, and they can be delivered to the hut ready for your stay.
