Space & setting.

Hidden amongst 67 acres of woodland in rural Herefordshire, this architect-designed cabin was hewn from the chestnut trees native to this region. Inside, deliberately pared-back interiors showcase the hand-craftmanship, while the open-plan design floods the space with natural light and forest views, blurring the boundary between indoors and out.

With 4 bedrooms, a great kitchen, huge living/dining area and an enormous deck it’s ideal for a group (additional guests can book one of the 2-person cabins nearby), as well as a multi-gen holiday or a couple of families.  Playful touches including tyre swings and a hidden sandpit will keep kids busy for hours, plus they can roam free from the front-door, building woodland dens and playing hide and seek. All of which leaves adults free to enjoy the rejuvenating experiences on offer here: massages, yoga sessions, cider tasting; even a tennis court and vintage pool table for relaxed competition.

Start your days with a dive into nature: 2 alfresco tubs and an outdoor shower feel way more special than your average daily shower. And once you’ve explored the 300-acre wider farm to your heart’s content, wander further: walk a section of the Herefordshire Trail, or zip to the Malvern Hills and stunning Wye Valley for hiking & biking. A BBQ and Ooni pizza oven make evenings very relaxed — or book a private chef to conjure up a feast under the stars, followed by a film on the projector. Idyllic stays made easy.

Getting here: drive, or train to Great Malvern/Malvern Link, then taxi (25 mins)

Seeking a slower pace and soul-lifting scenery for their own lives, owners Cassie and Chris left London for Herefordshire and settled on this farm to start a family. They’re now sharing their sanctuary with guests, having revamped a clutch of existing cabins and treehouses amidst the 67 acres of woodland. “We love being able to share it all with guests and providing a place for people to come and recharge.” Owners, Cassie & Chris
