Utterly gorgeous seafront cabin by Newlyn and Mousehole, with sweeping views across Mounts Bay (sleeps 2 + child)
Space & setting.
*Brand new*
Perched above the shimmering sea between the charming fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole, this beautifully crafted cabin is a front-row seat to Cornwall’s wild coastal beauty. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the ever-changing seascape and unspoilt views across Mount’s Bay, whether stormy swells or golden sunsets. Inside, every detail has been considered—design-led interiors balance warmth and elegance, from the handcrafted kitchen and bespoke enamel plates, to the plump floral sofa and carefully curated local artwork. Be inspired to take up the artist’s easel yourself and channel the spirit of Walter Langley, pioneer of the esteemed Newlyn Art School, whose famous ‘Sunny South’ was painted at the big house next door.
Outside, a deck faces towards the sea—perfect for morning coffee with a view. You’re 5 mins’ walk from foodie Newlyn and harbour swims, and 10-15 from the picture-postcard village of Mousehole, where narrow lanes wind between artisan shops, seafood spots, and hidden coves. Whether you spend your days wave-watching from the comfort of your private retreat or exploring the rugged beauty of the coast, this hideaway is a love letter to West Cornwall.
Getting here: drive, or train to Penzance and taxi (15 mins)

“We have owned the main Georgian house here since 2018, and it has been featured in Vogue, House & Garden and The Times. Little Pembroke was originally built in the 80s/90s as an artist’s studio/garage and we always knew we wanted to turn it into additional accommodation. Our revamp was inspired by the wooden huts of New England and the traditional boat sheds around Newlyn, with a modern twist.” Owners Bianca & Nick
They love
“The views over Mount’s Bay and out to St Michael’s Mount are pretty hard to beat.”
We love
The glorious green curved bedstead, and the beautiful chequerboard bathroom.

The main house is a rental too and you share a driveway, but you’re very private (and if there’s no one staying, you get to explore its amazing garden!).
Surrounds.
- Swim in the wild waters from Newlyn harbour then warm up in the dockside wood-fired sauna, Rising Embers.
- Sample local flavours with a small-plates feast at the award-winning Mackerel Sky Seafood Bar in Newlyn (it’s first-come, first-served so be prepared to queue when it’s busy).
- Admire the graceful artworks nestled in sub-tropical greenery at Tremenheere sculpture gardens. There’s a great gift shop, too.
- Amble to Mousehole (15 mins) to explore this lovely fishing village. Lunch at The Old Coastguard for a hearty meal of fresh catch from the trawlers or game from the local estate.
- Drive to Marazion then walk across the cobbled causeway at low tide to the magical, island castle of St Michael’s Mount.
- Bask in the geothermal waters at Penzance’s Jubilee Pool, a celebrated Art Deco lido that’s filled by the sea. Great shops here, too.
- Visit golden Sennen Beach for a beach day or idyllic Porthcurno cove, which is Caribbean-esque with white sands lapped by turquoise wavs.
- The Minack Theatre in Porthcurno is awe-inspiring; an outdoor amphitheatre carved out of the cliff. If you can catch a live theatre performance while you’re here, snap up the chance. Their Shakespeare shows are incredible.
