Luxe cabin in the Shropshire Hills, with wood-fired tub and enchanting views; perfect for solo escapes or a romantic retreat
Space & setting.
*Brand new*
Surrounded by coniferous woodland, heather-clad hills and rocky tors, the thoughtfully designed Black Rhadley cabin in Stiperstones Nature Reserve was made for peaceful times. With no WiFi to distract, and endless views to captivate the mind, it’s the digital detox of dreams. Start your days with sun salutations out on the deck as the sun comes up, grounding into your surroundings with all your senses. Float back inside for a long breakfast, fuelled by local coffee in artisan mugs, then take the short hike up to Devil’s Chair or Cranberry Rock, craggy tors shrouded in mysticism.
This is a brilliant place for forest bathing, too. Try a barefoot walk through the woodland, a silent meditation at the foot of a pine, or simply sink back into the alfresco bath and gaze up at rustling trees. Thanks to the owners’ rewilding efforts, the surrounding woods are alive with wildlife; bring binoculars and listen for the tap-tapping of woodpeckers. As dusk calls, take a flask of tea up to Nipstone Rock to sit and watch the light fade from the sky. Then it’s back to the firepit, to listen to the crackling of flames and hooting of owls. Logging off never felt so good.
