Four beautifully designed off-grid cabins with outdoor baths, spread across the Shropshire countryside (each sleeps 2)
Space & setting.
As advocates of slow living, these 4 cabins are off grid, off-line, and off the beaten track, tucked away amongst the rolling hills and woodlands of a beautiful 5,000-acre estate. Crafted from natural and reclaimed materials, their owner created them to provide a true breather from the constant pressures of modern life, and the spaces are as dreamy as their settings. Alfresco copper bathtubs take forest bathing to the next level, and huge windows frame tranquil views of Clee Hill and endless countryside. In spring, you can watch newborn lambs tottering about from the comfort of your linen sheets, with coffee in-hand, and breakfast cooking on the firepit.
The proximity to nature, greenery and wildlife will have a soothing, serene effect on all who sleep here. Spend your days listening to birdsong, walking your dog and drinking in the quietude; you won’t see another soul while you’re here, unless you want to. As dusk falls, light candles and play chess on the deck to the soundtrack of evening cicadas, then stargaze while you soak in the tub. This is pure escapism.

Surrounds.
- You’ll find a map of walks around the estate. Or go further afield and explore Mortimer Forest — the Climbing Jack route will put some colour in your cheeks.
- There’s superb wild swimming at Boyne Water in Brown Clee.
- The Unicorn Inn is as rare as its name suggests — a family run pub with a roaring fire, wagging tails thumping on the wood floor, and an outdoor area overlooking the River Corve.
- Nearby Ludlow is one of the loveliest towns in England. A hill of Georgian houses ascends from the River Terne, and there’s a wealth of foodie restaurants and delis (we love CSONS). Markets on Castle Street sell everything from fresh farmers’ produce to antiques and local art.
- Over the road from the estate, take a tour of the Ludlow Brewery and sample local cask ales fresh from the barrel. There’s often live music at the weekends for a night out.
