*Brand new*
These 5 forest cabins offer the most beautiful blend of slow living and luxury in the heart of Yorkshire Dales National Park. Carefully crafted from natural and reclaimed materials, their exteriors sit comfortably amongst the earthy landscapes, but their dusky-pink interiors could grace any boutique hotel; they’re in a cabin class of their own.
Each has a private hilltop perch within a wide pine forest and the views are sublime — the winding River Ure, the ancient ruins of Jervaulx Abbey and patchwork fields of gold and green as far as the eye can see. Take it all in through huge picture windows, snuggled up in linen sheets with a morning cuppa, or from your alfresco copper bathtub; a truly restorative forest bathing experience. Nearby are waterfalls and natural pools to be swum in, rugged moorlands to be explored, and you’ll find the embrace of silence wherever you go. Super romantic for 2 guests or utterly rejuvenating for a solo escape with your dog; off-grid never looked so pretty.
Getting here: drive, or train to Thirsk or Northallerton then taxi (30 mins)

Surrounds.
- You’ll find amazing walks on your doorstep. Follow the River Ure to the Grade-I listed Jervaulx Abbey stopping off for homemade ice cream at Brymor Dairy Farm, or take the 2-hour walk down to the pretty market town of Masham for a pub lunch.
- Whilst you’re in Masham, book a tour at Theakston Brewery and try their iconic beer Theakston Old Peculiar.
- The owners recommend the handmade pies at The Black Swan in Leyburn and seafood dinners at The Wensleydale Heifer in Middleham (10-15 min drive).
- There’s superb wild swimming at Cauldron Falls (30 mins) and Buckden Beck (45 mins), plus cliff jumping at Loup Scar an hour from the cabin (warm up at the Red Lion pub afterwards).
- For an even more magical swim, dip in the natural pool at the bottom of Hardraw Force Waterfall, England’s largest single drop waterfall (45 mins’ drive).
- Go climbing, cycling or walking across Brimham Rocks, a collection of otherworldly rock formations scattered across dramatic moorland (40 mins’ drive).
- Soak in the rugged beauty of Malham Cove, a huge amphitheater-shaped formation of limestone cliffs. Harry Potter fans will recognise the rocky scene from The Deathly Hallows.
