*Brand new*

Secluded in its own meadow, this beautiful cabin near Norfolk’s north coast is a real treat for couples who crave a back-to-nature escape without compromising on luxury. Gorgeous Scandi-chic interiors, soft Egyptian cotton bedding, a rainfall shower and Natural Living toiletries with English garden-inspired scents give it a hotel-style class; but it’s the tranquil surroundings that make it extra special. A large bedside window gives pillow views of sunlight dancing through leaves; a dining table under the trees invites long, lazy breakfasts (also lovely for candlelit dinners). If the weather turns, snuggle up in the warm glow of the woodburner and watch the rain through the huge panels of glass.

With the meadow all to yourself, it’s easy to hide away in your own little world if you want to. But a short drive or cycle (hire ebikes for your stay) will take you to foodie pubs, nature reserves where migratory birds swoop overhead, and sandy beaches including Holkham, the cinematic star of this coastline. Explore as much or as little as you like — this place moves you at a slower pace; embrace it.

Getting here: you’ll need to drive

Sally, owner of Walled Garden, Norfolk

“We purchased this derelict site — once a workhouse and grounds — in 2013. After building a contemporary family home attached to the original chapel, where we now live, we created a beautiful walled garden to house our first cabin , then did the groundworks for this one in an adjacent private field. It took months of research to find a cabin that met our brief for exceptional build quality and unique contemporary design, so we are really happy with it.” Owners, Mark and Sally
