Space & setting.

With an utterly unique facade that mirrors a honeycomb, this kooky little cabin has got us all abuzz. It sits, utterly private, in a meadow of its own, with views of the glorious Teifi Valley through little hexagonal windows. Handcrafted from reclaimed materials and local timber, it’s a masterclass in sustainable design, totally off grid with solar-powered electricity and water from a well. But that doesn’t mean roughing it; quite the opposite. There’s a strong tile game in the bathroom and dressing gowns for padding out to the hot tub. En vogue colours and a velvet sofa feel more boutique than glampy, and we love the characterful rustic tree-trunk beams and glass roof so you can stargaze from bed.

The surroundings will get you buzzing too. The 22-acre smallholding is a sweep of wildflower meadows and ponds, home to badgers, frogs, even herons. Walks wind out from the front door, or it’s an easy zip over to the coast for breathtaking and relatively empty beaches. This area is a real insider secret.

Getting here: best to drive

“We moved from Surrey to Wales in 2018, newlywed with our first child on the way. We’d been coming to this area for years on holiday, camping up and down the Welsh coast. Since moving here, we’ve rescued 3 hens (Eddie, Patsy & Polly), planted a small orchard and given growing veg a good go… Nick’s parents (who own this smallholding) have also started keeping alpacas; you may see them out on their morning walk!” Owners Lauren and Nick

  • "An incredible, secluded, romantic getaway. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle. The cabin and surrounding grounds are stunning. It's a little pod of luxury and I can't wait to return."

The fire is prepared for use you just need to light & maintain it. Once filled the tub has a 5 hour window of use.
