Romanticise life outdoors at these gorgeous timber-frame cabins in the heart of rural Wales. Sleeping 4 apiece, each overlooks their Welsh namesake; Nant (meaning stream) is beside a brook, that meanders through the surrounding pine trees, whilst Bryn (meaning hill) has sweeping views of the rolling landscape beyond the woods. Being here is like being in a Norah Jones song; wake up to rain falling on a tin roof and walk in fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high… completely idyllic.

Meticulously crafted to cabincore perfection – layered lighting, wood-burning stoves and sheepskin throws – each is superbly comfortable, too. Underfloor heating and a wood-fired hot tub; cloud-like beds dressed in luxury linens, and the softest Turkish towels and bathrobes. Traditional Welsh treats provide a sweet welcome whilst lavender-scented pillow sprays ease you into a dreamy night’s rest. Not that you’ll need any help sleeping – being 20 mins from Rhayader (the outdoor capital of Wales) and close to the Cambrian Mountains, Elan Valley, Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia, your days will be blasted with fresh air and sublime scenery. You’ll be asleep before you can say Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

Getting here: drive, or train to Llandrindod Wells, then taxi (30 mins)

“Our dream was to create a luxury space with rustic and authentic styling, where people could relax, explore and be immersed in nature, but without having to stay in basic accommodation. After 3 years of planning and building, these cabins came into being. We used locally sourced materials where possible, and spent hours on finishing touches, architectural detail, décor and user experience, providing all the things we love and appreciate when staying in a home from home ourselves. We love being able to share our little slice of mid Wales with guests, a place where they can sit under the dark starry skies, enjoy the sounds of nature and wander for hours in nature without seeing another soul.” Owners, Myles & Alyce

  • "Our family (2 adults and a toddler) had an unforgettable long weekend here. The cabin was immaculate and beautifully designed both inside and out. Everything was really well considered, from ample fire wood for the hot tub, having binoculars for star gazing, and conveniently placed wall mounted bottle openers around the cabin - very handy! The tranquil surroundings provided the perfect setting for relaxation and escaping the hustle and bustle of working life. It was exactly what we needed to recharge and spend quality time together as a family. Without a doubt, we will be returning for another stay in the future. Thank you for creating such a special retreat."

  • "A wonderful stay; Myles was an incredibly helpful host and the cabin was gorgeous. There was even a goody box waiting for us and treats, towels and a bowl for the dogs. The cabin had everything you could ask for - even under floor heating! The surrounding countryside was amazing too, would 100% recommend."
